Step-by-Step Online Motor Vehicle Registration Punjab 2025

To register the vehicle follow the steps below:

Step 1: Visit the MTMIS Punjab Website

• Visit MTMIS punjab website.
• Navigate to the vehicle registration Section.
• Locate the F- From Downlod button.
• Alternatively Just click the button below and form will be download automaticaly.

Step 2: Access and Download the Registration Form

• After locating Click the Download button.
• A Tab will open containing the PDF file.
• Click on the small icon of download.

Step 3: Download and Print Form F

• The from you have downloaded is the upto date as Punjab excise and taxation Department has made some changes previously.
• Get the print of challan from your personal printer.
• Or visit the nearest printer shop.

Step 4: Fill Out the Application Form

• Fill out the reuqired information in the F-From. 
• Make sure to enter the correct information as this will be used to generate your Smart card, Vehicle registration number, and fee challan.

Step 5: Attach Required Documents and Submit

• Attached the documents listed below after completely filling out the Application From.
• The documents required are based on the type of vehicle you want to register.
• Make sure to check the list of documents given in the next section specified for the type of vehicle.
• Submit the application to the local excise department.

Step 6: Await Your Registration Documents

• Once you have submitted the documents and F form at the registration office.
• Collect the token from the help desk which reflects your personal details.
• It will take one month to receive your original smart card, registration number and vehicle documents.

Documents Required for Vehicle Registration In Punjab

Locally Manufactured Vehicles Registration

Original Purchaser of the Unregistered Vehicle:

• If the Original Purchaser of the Vehicle wants to register the Vehicel on his name.
• Application for registration of vehicle - Form-F
• Copy of CNIC of the person on which name’s vehicle is to be registered  (For Individual owners)
• Original Sales Certificate of Vehicle
• Original Sales Invoice of Vehicle
• Proof of paid fees receipt of Registration, Number plate, and other livable taxes.

Original Purchaser Disposes of the Unregistered Vehicle:

• Application for registration of vehicle Form-F
• Copy of CNIC of the person on which name’s vehicle is to be registered  (For Individual owners)
• Original Sales Certificate of Vehicle
• Original Sales Invoice of Vehicle
• Proof of paid fees receipt of Registration, Number plate, and other livable taxes.
• Transfer Order T.O. Form.
• Document confirming the original purchaser has sold the vehicle
• Copy of the National Identity Card of the original purchaser (In case of an individual).

Imported vehicles Registration

Registration in the Name of Importer

• Application for Registration of Vehicle in Form-F
• Copy of CNIC of the person on which name’s vehicle is to be registered  (For Individual owners)
• Copy of customs authorized import permission. 
• GD Duplicate copy in original showing payment of all taxes/duties.
• Copy of Invoice (In case of direct purchase from manufacturer)
• Copy of Bill of Lading
• Proof of paid fees receipt of Registration, Number plate, and other livable taxes.

Importer Disposes of Unregistered Vehicle

Application for Registration of Vehicle in Form-F

• Copy of CNIC of the person on which name’s vehicle is to be registered  (For Individual owners)
• Transfer Order T.O. Form. Document showing sale of vehicle by Importer
• Copy of seller’s National Identity Card (For Individual owners)
• Copy of customs authorized import permission. 
• GD Duplicate copy in original showing payment of all taxes/duties.
• Copy of Invoice (In case of direct purchase from manufacturer)
• Copy of Bill of Lading
• Proof of paid fees receipt of Registration, Number plate, and other livable taxes.

Fee Structure for New Vehicle Registration

Combined Harvesters, Rigs, Fork Lifters, Road Rollers, Excavators, Sewerage Cleaning Plants etc.	PKR. 300/- each

Not exceeding 1000cc	1%
Exceeding 1000cc but not more than 2000cc	2%
Exceeding 2000cc	4%

Transfer of Ownership

• Transfer Order (T.O) Form
• Copy of Seller’s National Identity Card
• Copy of Buyer’s National Identity Card
• Photocopies of Witnesses CNIC.
• In Vehicle Registered under the “File Return Sheme” in this case provide Original Registration File.
• Duplicate Registration Certificate.  
• Application in Prescribed Form

Misplaced/stolen Registration Certificate (R.C)

• First Do, Police Report
• In case of damaged and or torn Inclose the registration certificate with the application form.
• Applicant’s National Identity Card copy
• Update Token Tax Certificate in case of Non-Tie-up vehicles (except Motorcycles)
• If vehicle is registered under the “File Return Scheme” provide the original registration file in this case.

Termination of Hire Purchase Agreement

• Application for termination of HPA on plain paper from Lessee
• NOC/Clearance Certificate from Lessor
• Applicant’s National Identity Card copy
• Original Registration Certificate with up to date paid token tax proof.
• If the vehicle is registered under the “File Return Scheme” provide the original registration file in this case.

Change of Engine Number (Alteration)

• Receipt of new purchased Engine.
• Applicant’s National Identity Card copy
• Form “F” containing particulars of vehicle including the New Engine Number
• Original Registration Certificate with up to date paid token tax proof.

Conversion

• Form “F” containing particulars of vehicle containing an endorsement about nature of conversion from Motor Vehicle Examiner
• National Identity Card copy of Applicant.
• Original Registration Certificate with up to date paid token tax proof.
